The next step will be to establish exact numbers. Interest from old boys has been extremely encouraging and it will undoubtedly be the biggest gathering of St Mary’s alumni since the closure of the school. Several teachers are expected to make an appearance. At the launch, copies of the book will be available to buy and it it is hoped there will be a tour of the building for those interested, an exhibition of St Mary’s material and one or two other surprises including a specially-themed cake. At the end is unusual - we usually only put it there when we have forgotten to put it in earlier. The launch will be in the afternoon with exact timings to be communicated as soon as possible.
